Inspired by a missionary zeal and patriotism to serve the society. The great Mrs Prem Bhatnagar a well known social worker of our country laid the foundation stone of an institution that has fame in the northeast district, Delhi. The purpose of Vidya Vihar Vidyalaya is to equip the younger generation of society so that they can excel in all walks of life. In the year 1971, on the day of Basant Panchami, It’s seed was sown which is continuously progressing towards becoming an educational perfectionist and has also succeeded in that enormously. The Institute was inaugurated in the overwhelming presence of Mrs Lalita Shastri, wife of former prime minister late Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri.

Since 1972, when Mrs Prem Bhatnagar laid the foundation stone of this institution the purpose of Vidya Vihar Vidyalaya was to equip the younger generation of the society with value-based quality education so that they could excel in all walks of life. It was the day of Basant Panchami, the birth anniversary of Maa Saraswati (Goddess of Knowledge) when the seed of Vidya Vihar Vidyalaya was sown. Ever since, we have grown enormously setting a new benchmark of quality education in East Delhi.
